The condition monitoring tachometer PCE-T237 is a digital tachometer, which has optical as well as contact speed measurement. With the aid of the attachments, the PCE-T236 and PCE-T237 tachometers offer you the possibility of being equipped for all eventualities. However, if you do not have the possibility to get directly to the shaft with the measuring device, you can carry out an optical speed measurement with the handheld tachometer. It can therefore be used for all types of machine maintenance and for setting up plants. It does not matter what kind of machine it is. Whether it be a generator, a rotary or direct current motor.

The condition monitoring tachometer PCE-T237 can be used extensively. You can also use the tachometer to determine the speed of various conveyor belts. The recording of all such data can provide important information to optimize production and the machines themselves. The tachometer PCE-T237 can also be used to measure an extended distance. For example, you could measure the length of different areas or the circumference of turntables. A further additional function of the PCE-T237 should be particularly interesting for installers of ventilation systems. This allows the number of up to nine rotor blades to be stored in the device, thereby automatically calculating the speed.

Another characteristic of the PCE-T237 condition monitoring tachometer is the memory function. This gives you the possibility to carry out a measurement and to reproduce measured values on the screen without having to remember them. This contains the last measured value, the maximum value and the minimum value. This means that if you are just performing an optical measurement, the measured value is displayed normally.

– The handheld device measures optically, without contact, via the supplied reflection band (600 mm)
– Contact measurement of rpm via cone adapter (for shaft stub or centering bore)
– Contact measurement of m/min via surface wheel
– Robust ABS plastic housing
– Last measured value, min / max memory
– Measuring adapter is exchangeable and available as a spare part

PCE-428-KIT is a class 2 data-logging sound level meter kit that meets IEC 60651:1979, IEC 60804:2000, IEC 61672-1:2013, ANSI S1.4-1983 and ANSI S1.43-1997 requirements. This portable high-accuracy sound level meter has a large easy-to-read illuminated LCD screen that displays the sound pressure level (SPL) numerically and graphically in real time. Thanks to octave band filtering, even the slightest difference in frequency is detected.

The handheld meter also functions as a data logger, recording measurements at an adjustable interval from 1 s … 24 h and storing the recorded measurement data to a micro SD card memory. The SD card can be removed from the meter and inserted into the SD card reader of a PC. Alternatively, the decibel meter can be connected directly to a PC via USB. The provided PC-compatible software allows for quick and easy data analysis.

This device measures from 25 … 136 db(A) at a frequency of 20 Hz … 12.5 kHz. The meter features A, B, C and Z frequency weightings as well as fast, slow and impulse time weightings. The PCE-428 decibel meter is commonly used by professionals to ensure compliance with environmental noise regulations and workplace noise permissible exposure limits.

Concrete Moisture Meter FMC for building materials to measure absolute humidity

The Concrete Moisture Meter FMC can accurately measure absolute humidity in diverse building materials. To detect humidity, the Concrete Moisture Meter has a connection for external sensors which can either be inserted into the building material or placed on it. This Concrete Moisture Meter corrects the measured humidity value in real percentages in relation to the selected material and the temperature (according to dry / absolute humidity). The Concrete Moisture Meter can be used both in input controls and to measure on site: concrete, asbestos, cement, plaster, lime-stone, pavement, bricks, etc. The Concrete Moisture Meter has some characteristic curves stored to measure different materials. These curves can be displayed by accessing them through the keyboard.
It is important to choose a humidity probe that best suits the material which is going to be measured. There are different models for different applications and materials. The Concrete Moisture Meter can be used for all kind of jobs.

Characteristic material curves / Temperature compensation

With the Concrete Moisture Meter FMC for building materials it is possible to determine with high accuracy the real moisture content by introducing the corresponding characteristic value of every material (for the characteristic curve of the stored material) in the Concrete Moisture Meter. Some charts with more than 500 characteristic values for wood, building materials and paper will be included in the delivery.
Temperature must be taken into consideration. As the temperature of the material influences its electric power capacity (and also its humidity), a temperature compensation has to be carried out. It can be adjusted in the detector with 1°C intervals (manual compensation).
Below you will see an extract of the characteristic curves in alphabetical order of all the most important wood types (they are stored in the humidity detector). We can also send another list with more wood types.

To take into account:
Measuring values will be higher in chips or knots. On the contrary, if measurements are taken on breaks, the humidity value will be lower in relation to the real humidity value (absolute humidity).
In both cases, you should measure near the area that is going to be measured and use the mean value.
Measurement accuracy:
Due to the inhomogeneous composition of wood, oscillations in gross density can appear while measuring the same wood type so you will have to take diverse humidity measurements. The overall result will be the mean value calculated by the Concrete Moisture Meter.
Humidity probes / measurement sensors:
Here you will see a wide range of probes which can be adapted to different measuring instruments. You will be able to choose the probe that best suits your needs.

Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-T to measure humidity without causing any damages in the material

The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-T covers all your needs while measuring moisture contents in all types of wood and building materials. The Concrete Moisture Meter works without causing any damage to the material and it is mainly employed to measure building walls. When you have to choose a Concrete Moisture Meter it is very important to take into consideration if the surface can be affected or if it has to be in perfect condition after the measurement. Humid areas can produce mould in houses. These areas are easily detected. You will also measure humidity in wood, as for instance in parquet floors.
The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-T has a compact design and is very easy to use. These characteristics turn the Concrete Moisture Meter into an irreplaceable tool for professional builders, technicians, etc.

The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-T for wood is guided by a microprocessor-unit to quickly determine moisture content in wood and building materials. The Concrete Moisture Meter measures moisture content when the upper frontal sensor is placed on the material for half a second. It is also possible to measure through paper or paints.
Humidity is determined by contact using a high-frequency technique. Measurements can be taken without damaging the material surface. Therefore, this Concrete Moisture Meter is specifically suited for the use on finished products or for fast controls on site.
The material you want to measure is not important. You will only need to put the frontal side of the Concrete Moisture Meter on the material such as: balsa, beech, birch, cedar, oak, pine, fir-tree, mahogany, lime-tree etc or building materials such as parquet.

Attention: All the characteristic curves of the wood types of this column and the adjoining one are stored inside the Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-B. They can be displayed by introducing the corresponding gross densities. A chart with all the materials and wood types will be included in the delivery.
To take into account:
While measuring moisture content in wood, the result will be more accurate on smooth surfaces. The measuring value will grow on chips or knots. If measurements are taken on breaks, the humidity value will be lower in relation to the real humidity value (absolute humidity).
In both cases, you will have to measure near the area which is going to be measured.
Measurement accuracy:
Wood has an inhomogeneous composition. Therefore, gross density oscillations can be produced when measuring the same wood type. Therefore, you will have to take various humidity measurements – the measurement result will be the mean value calculated by the Concrete Moisture Meter.
Wood surface:
In rough surface wood types, the result displayed in the Concrete Moisture Meter can be lower.
Fiber direction:
The result will not be affected if the measurement is taken either in the fiber direction or against the fiber direction.
Measurement depth:
The measurement depth is 25 mm. If the wood is very thin (e.g. < 1 cm thickness) measurement will be carried out through the wood. The material on the wood will also be measured partially.
Measuring surface:
During the measurement the Concrete Moisture Meter has to be on the surface which is going to be measured in order to avoid mistakes with results.

Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-B to measure humidity in wood without any damage or punctures in the material

The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-B of wood FMW-B determines moisture content by means of the capacitive method. In the Concrete Moisture Meter an electromagnetic field quickly determines capacitance of wood. The moisture content in the wood is internally determined by means of a gross density.

The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-B has three important advantages:

– It measures moisture content without damaging wood when it is placed on it.
– Measurement results are quickly displayed.
– Because of the high accuracy of humidity values a drying test will not be needed (real absolute humidity is measured / the Concrete Moisture Meter meets with all the European standards EN 13183-1, EN 13183-2, EN 13556)
This Concrete Moisture Meter is very easy to use as well as very robust. The Concrete Moisture Meter FMW-B is an irreplaceable tool for both wood manufacturing and purchasing as well as for any professional sector where wood is considered a raw material. It is also capable of measuring a wide range of wood types (gross densities are stored in the detector).

After introducing the unit weight (gross density) of any wood type, absolute humidity can be highly precisely determined in all wood types. Humidity is determined by contact using a high-frequency technique. Measurements can be taken without damaging the material surface. Therefore, this detector is used specifically for finished products or for fast controls on site.

PCE-MWM 210 VHF band sensor / continuous moisture measurement in concrete (container / mixer)

For industrial continuous production of concrete,in-line moisture measurement for monitoring and controlling the mixing process is important. Consistent quality of every concrete batch, reduction of the consumption of cement, and shortest possible mixing times are the criteriawhich are important in concrete production. Sensors of PCE Instruments help meet those criteriathroughhighly accurate moisture measurement.

The production of concrete is subject to, e.g. large fluctuations caused by varying moisture contents of the raw and auxiliary materials (sands, aggregates). A reduction of these moisture fluctuations during storage is possible, but not easy to implement. Therefore, it makes more senseto do continuous online / inline moisture measurement during the mixing process to determine the respective componenthumidities or sand moisture. Subsequently, the dosage of water is controlled. This procedure not only allows the equalization of the quality of each batch of concrete but also reduces the mixing time.

PCE Instruments planar sensors are at a suitable point in the ground or screwed in the wall of the concrete mixer (e.g.pan mixer, screw mixer). It can also be used when othervariants or types are used, e.g. for in-line moisture measurement of additives (case hopper for sand).

In combination with a control system (DCS) or a concrete moisture measurement sensor control & control unit of PCE Instruments, this is a true control of a sensor for measuring humidity.
