PCE-830-1 Current Clamp
with 3 phases / Measures power and analyses harmonics / Includes memory, interface, and software

The PCE-830 Current Clamp is used for measuring one to three phases of electrical quantities for alternating current (AC). This 3-Phase Current Clamp also measures parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, harmonics, and power as well as indicating, according to standard EN50160, harmonic values, interharmonics, and asymmetrics. Interference, such as interruptions, leaks, overloads, or transience (from 16 µs) are detected with their corresponding values. The backlit LCD, with high resolution, can show up to 35 parameters simultaneously. Up to 3 clips can be attached at the same time to the Current Clamp. In data logger mode, it can save up to 17,470 readings (3 phases / 4 conductors), in a simpler set up (1 phase / 2 conductors) it can save up to 52,400 readings, split into 85 groups. All this makes the PCE-830 Current Clamp the ideal instrument for taking measurements over long durations. Measurement values obtained can be sent to a computer and be processed with the included analysis software. The device comes with everything needed to be measuring and analysing from the moment it arrives. Although the Current Clamp comes calibrated from the manufacturer, an optional laboratory calibration and certificate, that meets ISO standards, can be ordered separately with the device or when a recalibration is required.

The current clamp PCE-DC 41 can measure voltages up to 600 V, currents up to 600 A and electrical resistance up to 1000 Ω. To perform a measurement, you can either use the measuring leads, which are included in the package of the current clamp, or you can use the integrated clamp mechanism. By using the clamp of the current clamp, you are able to measure the electrical parameters of an electrical conductor contact-free and without disconnecting it. You can also check the continuity with the current clamp.

Due to its compact design and light weight, the device is well-suited for mobile use. When using the clamp mechanism, it is also possible to run the current clamp with one hand only. The measured data is shown on the large backlit 4-digit display. By using the peak-hold or data-hold function, you can also freeze the readings on the display. The auto power-off function saves battery power, when the device is not in use.

Current clamp PCE-CM 40-ICA incl. ISO Calibration Certificate
Flexible current clamp up to 3000 A / Rogowski coil with 170 mm (6.7in) diameter / Inrush function / Frequency measurement / LC display

The flexible current clamp PCE-CM 40 is suitable for current measurements up to 3000 A AC. In addition to TRMS current measurement, the flexible current clamp can be used to measure inrush currents. The measurement of the current takes place via a flexible Rogowski coil. This means that the electrical conductor around which the flexible current clamp is placed induces a voltage in the ammeter. This voltage is proportional to the current flow through the electrical conductor. This makes it possible to measure very high currents with the flexible current clamp almost without risk. In addition to the current measurement, the flexible current clamp is able to measure frequencies in the range of 50 … 400 Hz.

The PCE-CM 40 flexible current clamp is used to measure the AC current in machines, systems and electrical installations. Due to the flexible Rogowski coil, which has a diameter of 170 mm, the clamp can be used wherever conventional space clamps can not be used. The measured value of the alternating current is displayed on the illuminated LCD. Furthermore, the measured values can be stored in a memory that can be read out via the Bluetooth interface.

With the digital multimeter AC currents of up to 1000 A AC can be measured easily. At the same time, voltages of up to 1000V AC / DC can be measured with the digital multimeter. Thus, with the power current clamp, apparent power, reactive power and active power measurements up to 750 KW are possible. Another function of the digital multimeter is the measurement of the inrush current. Many consumers have a tremendously high current at the moment of switch-on. With a conventional digital multimeter such a measurement is not possible. For the digital multimeter this is not a problem.

With the NCV (Not Connected Voltage) function of the digital multimeter, it can be checked whether a voltage is applied to a line without performing a contacting measurement. This makes the work much easier for the user thanks to the digital multimeter. In addition to the measuring function, the digital multimeter can also be connected to a terminal via the Bluetooth interface. Via this Bluetooth interface, the measured data can be transmitted directly from the digital multimeter to the terminal, where it can be logged, analyzed and sent.
