An electrostatic measurement is particularly important to check whether surfaces, components or the human body are electrostatically charged. If a discharge occurs, electronic components can be damaged. In the worst case, flames can form with flammable gases and liquids. Such electrostatic charges can be found with the gauss meter. The electromagnetic field meter is therefore used for checking in ESD-protected production workshops. The measuring range of the electromagnetic field meter is ±60 kV DC.

The gauss meter can be grounded with the alligator clip included in the scope of delivery so that the electromagnetic field meter does not lose its measurement result itself or, if necessary, damage components in a production workshop due to an electric shock. The lasers on the electromagnetic field meter are used to optimally align the sensors.

In addition to measuring radiation, the gauss meter can measure ambient temperature and humidity at the same time. For mobile use, the electromagnetic field meter is operated with a 9 V block battery. The operating time for the electromagnetic field meter is a maximum of 20 hours. The current battery charge is displayed by the electromagnetic field meter via the battery status indicator.

Geiger Counter GS 1 with internal memory and software

This professional Geiger Counter is a precise instrument to measure alpha, beta and gamma radioactivity. The Geiger Counter has a wide measuring range and can be used for diverse measurements types as for sporadic measurements in situations, long-lasting measurements or for controls. The Geiger Counter provides with a certified measurement of the environmental radiation as well as the radiation which is artificially increased up to 500 times over the limit value.

This Geiger Counter has diverse applications. This Geiger meter has been usually used in nuclear power stations. Everyday it is most commonly used in the control of imported goods, as well as to measure the food which has been previously irradiated. This Geiger Counter can be also used to measure natural radioactive radiation as the one which appears near the sea and it fulfills all the requirements when controlling building materials. Radiation values can be recorded in the Geiger Counter memory or they can be transferred to a computer to be valued by means of a device included in the delivery (software and RS 232 data cable).

– Accurate measuring instrument
(every Geiger Counter has a final control, this control is carried out in the Institute for the protection
against radioactivity and inspected by a State Technical School with a control certification)
– Types of radiations
(the meter measures Alfa, beta and gamma radiations)
– Duration

The Geiger Counter Radex RD1503 is able to measure gamma radiation. The Radex RD1503+ is measuring x-ray and beta radiation. These radiation analyzers are highly sophisticated, reliable and not expensive. A lot of functions are integrated into the radiation analysis device Radex RD1503 / RD1503+. For example several measurement units and levels of alarm as well as adjustments of sounds and illumination can be chosen. Both devices are lightweight and therefore really comfortable. The small and tight construction of the radiation analysis device ensures transportations with less expenses. The long battery lifetime of both radiation analyzers makes operations easier. In comparison to the Radex RD1503 the radiation analyzers Radex1503+ has got an acoustical alarm and a vibration function, too. The alarm will start when the pre-installed alarm threshold will be exceeded. Both radiation analyzers offer a highly legible display and several languages can be chosen

The radiation analyzer Radex RD1503 is able to measure gamma radiation. The alarm will start when the preinstalled alarm threshold will be exceeded. Both radiation analyzers offer a highly legible display and several languages can be chosen

High-precision magnetic field analyzer with an accuracy of 1% / Automatic switch-off / Transverse measurement / Backlight / Tesla and Gauss measurement / For static magnetic fields

Magnets find application in many processes in industry, research and quality control. Regular magnetic field measurements ensure optimal use in various areas. Continuous control of the permanent magnets prevents follow-up costs due to unplanned downtimes. The ideal auxiliary tool for checking permanent magnets is the magnetic field analyzer from PCE Instruments. The magnetic field analyzer is a compact precision instrument. It was specially developed to measure magnetism and is suitable for Tesla and Gauss measurements. The magnetic field analyzer is used wherever it goes about the field strength measurement on permanent magnets. Here, it convinces by the highest reliability and precision and at the same time, by the simplicity of the application.

Electromagnetic Field Meter / Field Analyser Application in the industry. With a measuring range of 0 to 200 mT or 200 to 2.400 mT, the magnetic field analyzer covers a wide range of measuring tasks. The magnetic field analyzer has a practical switching function and can automatically switch between the two measuring ranges. If the current value is in the range 0 to 200 mT, the magnetic field analyzer switches to the 200 mT measuring range. If the 200 mT mark is exceeded, the device automatically switches to the 2000 mT range. The display clearly informs the user about the current range.

The magnetic field analyzer allows very precise magnetic field measurements with an accuracy of 1%. Thus, with the help of the magnetic field analyzer, for example, relays and permanent magnets can be tested for the existing magnetic field. The magnetic field analyzer clearly shows the measurement results on its large display. Due to the backlight, the measured values are easy to read even in the poor lighting conditions.

The magnetic field analyzer consists of a compact display device and a sensor. The sensor uses the Hall-effect to determine the magnetic fields. The application of the magnetic field analyzer is simple and effective. Before each measurement, the sensor should be adjusted to the ambient temperature. To record the measured values, the cover must be removed and the sensor head should be placed in the middle of the magnetic field to be measured. In order to be able to read the respective maximum value correctly, the magnetic field analyzer has a hold function. At the push of a button, the magnetic field analyzer shows the measured maximum value in the negative and positive range.

Magnetometer in an application

In addition, the manufacturer has equipped the magnetic field analyzer with another practical function: if necessary, the measuring device can indicate the direction of incidence of the magnetic field lines.

In order to protect the battery of the magnetic field analyzer, the measuring instrument has an automatic switch-off. If there is no input for five minutes, the magnetic field analyzer switches off automatically and prevents the battery from being completely discharged.

Application Areas for Magnetic Field Analyzers

The magnetic field analyzer impresses by maximum reliability, precision and user-friendliness. The magnetic field analyzer is suitable for universal magnetic measurements on industrial, mechanical and electrical materials as well as for laboratory use. Besides, the magnetic field analyzer is also used in teaching and research. The magnetic field measuring device is the ideal companion for everyone who needs to determine the properties of the permanent magnets, for example to ensure their effectiveness and to determine the magnetic field strength. The magnetic field analyzer is therefore ideal for reliable instant analyzes, it is versatile and easy to use at the same time. Due to the handy and robust design and the battery operation, the magnetic field analyzer can be used mobile. Its simple operation makes the magnetic field analyzer irreplaceable during the measurement of the field strength on permanent magnets and it is also suitable for inexperienced users. The users appreciate the reliability and accuracy of the magnetic field analyzer. The Gauss meter is used, for example, in plant engineering or mechanical engineering to check the functionality and safety of the magnetic separators or magnetic filters. This ensures that production-relevant processes can be carried out without interruptions caused by the defective separation mechanisms. Magnet manufacturers also use the magnetic field analyzer in quality control to determine the magnetic field strengths.

More info

With a measuring range of 2,400 mT, the Electromagnetic Field Meter covers a wide range of measuring tasks. The field strength meter has an accuracy of 1%. This makes the Electromagnetic Field Meter a very precise measuring device. For example, the Electromagnetic Field Meter can be used to test relays and permanent magnets for the existing magnetic field. The Electromagnetic Field Meter is therefore used in production processes or in quality control.

With the backlight on the Electromagnetic Field Meter, the measured values are always easy to read even in poor lighting. Thanks to the automatic switch-off function, the Electromagnetic Field Meter automatically switches itself off after 5 minutes. This ensures that the battery of the Electromagnetic Field Meter does not discharge completely.

With a measuring range of 2,400 mT, the Gauss Meter covers a wide range of measuring tasks. The field strength meter has an accuracy of 1%. This makes the Gauss Meter a very precise measuring device. For example, the Gauss Meter can be used to test relays and permanent magnets for the existing magnetic field. The Gauss Meter is therefore used in production processes or in quality control.

With the backlight on the Gauss Meter, the measured values are always easy to read even in poor lighting. Thanks to the automatic switch-off function, the Gauss Meter automatically switches itself off after 5 minutes. This ensures that the battery of the Gauss Meter does not discharge completely.

In many industrial branches (aviation, chemical, machine-building), laboratory, electrotechnics, during testing and control, it goes about magnetic field. There is no other way of measuring it, but using the correct device with the correct sensor. The advantage of the modern Gauss meters is that they allow carrying out the measurement in a non-destructive way, and almost anywhere where the magnetic field is created, they allow controlling the strength of the magnetic field a well as the quality of the demagnetization, if it is required. Axial (3-axial) and transverse probes used in the Gauss meter for the measurements are the most typical probes which should be selected depending on the type of the surface or object to be measured. In those cases when the magnetic field is measured “in the air” (small openings, gaps, distances between the magnets), application of the transverse probe is meaningful, since it is enough to bring the sensor to the surface or area that should be measured. Hall effect is what that type of sensor is based on.

The measurement principle is based on the arising of the transverse potential difference in the current conductor, which is located in the magnetic field. The probe of such sensor is rectangular and is perfect for open space measurements. Axial probes are mostly used for the surfaces and general measurements. It is easy and convenient to bring them to the surface where the magnetic field is present.
