This professional Geiger counter is a precise instrument to measure alpha, beta and gamma radioactivity. The Geiger counter has a wide measuring range and can be used for diverse measurements types as for sporadic measurements in situations, long-lasting measurements or for controls. The Geiger counter provides with a certified measurement of the environmental radiation as well as the radiation which is artificially increased up to 500 times over the limit value. This Geiger counter has diverse applications. This Geiger meter has been usually used in nuclear power stations. Everyday it is most commonly used in the control of imported goods, as well as to measure the food which has been previously irradiated. This Geiger counter can be also used to measure natural radioactive radiation as the one which appears near the sea and it fulfills all the requirements when controlling building materials. Radiation values can be recorded in the Geiger counter memory or they can be transferred to a computer to be valued by means of a device included in the delivery (software and RS 232 data cable).

Software
The software is used to transfer radiation values which are recorded in the meter to a PC or a computer. Measuring data can also be transferred to other calculation programs such as Excel to be valued (see above the possibilities to download it).

The Geiger Counter Radex RD1706 shows gamma, x-ray- and beta radiation. The Geiger Counter is able to measure in radiation areas in a house as well as on human beings. The device is measuring in a range of 0.05 up to 999 µS v/h. Thanks to the comfortable construction of the Geiger Counter it especially qualifies for the mobile use and there will not occur any problems storing the measuring instrument. The fast measurement depends on a dose power value. However, a measurement will be done in just 1-26 seconds. The opposite to this will be the long battery life time, this leads automatically to less work. The Geiger Counter is also equipped with just 3 buttons and is really easy to use. You will be able to adjust several limit values. When these values will be exceeded the alarm function will give you a signal (sound and vibration). Due to this function you will be informed in case of to much radioactivity and you will be told to leave the particular area in extreme conditions. Thus, you will be protected against contamination. Through the highly legible LCD display the measured data will always be legible. The Geiger Counter Radex RD1706 will get energy by two batteries of AAA type.
