The signal converter UMU 100 is a transmitter suitable for the evaluation of PT 100 sensors as well as thermocouples (K, J, etc.). The UMU 100 signal converter is safe to operate and prevents failure of a machine or production plant. The signal converter has both a current output and a voltage output. Optionally, the signal converter can be equipped with two relay outputs so as to reach an alarm level, e.g. to activate a signal light. Due to the galvanic isolation, the supply voltage does not affect the measured signal and makes the signal converter a safe and accurate measuring instrument, which can be used universally during operation.
